Problem:
|
The computers in the shop were not
connected. In order to move graphics between the them the files had to
be loaded on to zip disks and transported via sneaker net.
To further aggravate the situation, the fonts and color pallets did not
match between the various machines. Transferring a file between a
design workstation and the printer could take 30-45 minutes.

|
Solution:
|
We designed and installed a low cost 100MB
Local Area Network. Each computer serves as both a workstation and a
server. Files can be accessed from any machine by any machine.
To further boost performance, the laser and color inkjet printers were
moved to an HP JetDirectEX print server where they can be accessed by any
computer. |
