Here are a few tools to help diagnose nasty problems.

	Y2K from Microsoft will identify all MS products on your computer and compare them with a database to determine Y2K compliance. Generates an HTML page with links to sites for achieving compliance.

	Testobject from Lagarde will test the NT server on which it is installed to identify the presensce and proper function of several popular ASP compliant SMTP mail programs. The program Tests for SimpleMail, SimpleMail v2, CDONTS, ASP Mail, Bamboo Mail, JMail, ABMail, and OCX Mail. Lagarde is best known for StoreFront99, an extremely good E-commerce program for FrontPage.
